Planning an international equipment purchase

Make the destination, documentation and commercial scope part of the first conversation.

Share the destination early

Provide the delivery country and city, receiving organisation and any import documentation requirements you already know. Availability of supply and support must be confirmed for each destination.

Match local utilities

State the voltage, frequency and plug requirements at the installation site. Ask for written confirmation of the exact supplied configuration and any adapters or additional infrastructure needed.

Make responsibilities explicit

Agree the currency, payment terms, shipment scope, insurance responsibility and delivery terms in the quotation. Ask your logistics adviser about destination-specific import requirements.

Plan support after arrival

Clarify installation options, operator training, spare parts, consumables and service arrangements. Do not assume local service or accreditation unless it is expressly documented.

General purchasing guidance only. Refer to the current official test method and verified equipment documentation for technical decisions.
